WORD FOR TODAY: The Answer For A Guilty Conscience

WORD FOR TODAY: The Answer For A Guilty Conscience

By Joseph Prince

Hebrews 9:14
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

***Thought For The Day
The cross of Jesus is the only answer that will satisfy your conscience.

Have you heard the voice of your conscience saying things like, “You deserve hell for the sins you committed against your wife three years ago” or “Why are you surprised that your child is not talking to you? You were never around when he needed you”?

You know, there are people who feel depressed all the time because of a sense of guilt, and they “pay” for their sins in terms of illnesses. In fact, doctors are discovering that many psychosomatic sicknesses are caused by guilt and condemnation because the conscience is saying, “You have done wrong. You must be punished. How can your sin not be punished?”

That is why you must have an answer that will satisfy your conscience. When your conscience says, “You have sinned. You must be punished for this sin or else God is not a just God,” you say, “Yes, I have sinned. But this sin and every other sin that I have committed were punished to the maximum in the body of Jesus Christ! So there remains no more punishment for me today, for how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse my conscience!”

My friend, the only way to bring peace to your conscience is to look to the cross. The cross of Jesus is the only answer that will satisfy your conscience.

So the next time your conscience condemns you because of sin, don’t try to silence it with your good works. Look to the cross and say, “Father, thank You for Jesus and the cross. Jesus was totally condemned on my behalf for this sin, so there is now absolutely no condemnation left for me.” Then, your conscience will look at the cross and say, “Ahhhh...peace.” My friend, Jesus’ finished work at the cross truly sets you free!

Fulani herdsmen Are Your Brothers: Forgive Them, Live With Them- Ortom Tells Agatu People

Fulani herdsmen Are Your Brothers: Forgive Them, Live With Them- Ortom Tells Agatu People

The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has called on the people of Agate Local Govt Area of the state to imbibe the culture of cohabiting in peace with Fulani herdsmen.

He appealed to the people of the Benue South community to "give peace a chance and cohabit with indigenous Fulani herdsmen as brothers as was the case in the past."

This is coming on the heels of the controversial agreement signed on behalf of the community which apportioned a portion in to Fulani herdsmen from neighbouring Nasarawa State.

The governor made this revelation on Wednesday in Obagaji, headquarters of the crisis ridden community alongside his Nasarawa State counterpart, Tanko Almakura.

Ortom who urged the Agatu people to pardon the herdsmen and let God fight for them, also appealed to them to embrace peace and live together with the herders as brothers.

He said "forgive and allow the Fulanis who were born in the land to return, the Bible admonishes that vengeance belongs to God."

WORD FOR TODAY: Jesus Understands Your Struggles

WORD FOR TODAY: Jesus Understands Your Struggles

By Joseph Prince

***Thought For The Day
There is no trial, difficulty, challenge or temptation that you face that Jesus cannot identify with.

Scripture Reference

Hebrews 4:15
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Imagine meeting the new politician who is to represent your district or neighborhood only to discover that he is not familiar with your neighborhood’s needs and problems. You will wonder, “Can this guy really represent us? Does he know anything about our living conditions? Is he familiar with the various challenges that families here are facing? Can he help me get my child into one of the schools here?” I am sure that you would prefer someone who truly understands your challenges to represent you!

In the same way, I am so glad that right now at the Father’s right hand, we have someone who came as a Man to redeem us, and who fully understands what man goes through. When Jesus walked on earth, He went through every human emotion so that He could identify with us in all points. Jesus is God, but He is in the Father’s presence as a Man, representing us.

My friend, you may feel that no one understands your struggles. Listen, while this may be true of man, it is not true of Jesus. He knows exactly what you are going through and He can sympathize with your weaknesses because He was “in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin”.

None of us have been tempted in all points. But God allowed Jesus to be tempted in all points so that He can understand and identify with the struggles of every single person on this earth. He can be touched by our humanity—our weaknesses, tears, disappointments, griefs...all points!

There is no trial, difficulty, challenge or temptation that you face that Jesus cannot identify with. My friend, the moment you go through it, right there and then, He feels it too. That is the kind of representative you have in Jesus! That is the love of God so that you will draw near to His throne of grace (not judgment) to find mercy and grace in time of need!

(Hebrews 4:15–16)

Awwww... Annie Idibia Gushes Over Husband, 2Face

She said, “My baby be Kinging for longgggggggggggg till DATE!!! GBAGAMB!!!! Yasssssss.

“@official2baba. Innocent Ujah Idibia (born in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria), he is one of the most decorated and successful Afro pop artists in Africa.

“2Face has received one MTV Europe Music Award, one World Music Award, five Headies Awards (Hip-hop award), four Channel O Music Video Awards and one BET award for his musical work, four MTV Africa Music Awards, one MOBO award, one KORA award, and multifarious nominations in diverse categories.”

Non-Career Ambassadors: Enyantu Ifenne Finally Exposes Those Behind Her Removal

Non-Career Ambassadors: Enyantu Ifenne Finally Exposes Those Behind Her Removal

After a long silence, Dr. Enyantu Ifenne has finally exposed those behind her removal from the latest list of non-career ambassadorial nominees released.

The outspoken Enyantu said her removal may not be unconnected with what she tagged as 'some forces' from her state (Benue).

She did not name anybody as the brain behind the sad development, but however exonerated the immediate past Senate President, David Mark who was earlier accused to have masterminded the act.

Read Ifenne's full statement below:

On NO account should David Mark be blamed for the withdrawal of my name from the ambassadorial list.

On the contrary, he was gracious and unequivocally supportive.

For the records, the combined tsunami force of some other persons with vested interest within our state blew me off the list. I was pre - informed politely but unambiguously that I would not get their endorsement should I make it to the screening.

Their reason?  I originate from zone C; the Benue euphemism for minority tribes.

To all who lifted Voice to defend or applaud my nomination; Ahinyaa!   Your support through this surreal experience validates my journey in public service.  I am not diminished by the withdrawal of my name.  In fact, I stand taller because of the positive response across Nigeria and in particular, Idoma Nation.

However, I urge you to remember that my experience is not in any way unique in our beloved state. Indeed, for thousands of Idoma compatriots, nuanced colourations of marginalization is the norm and our voices should coalesce and amplify to tell their stories.

The truth remains that the Idoma Spirit will never be diminished or dominated. Nor should our Voices be divided or silenced.
Thank you!!

Ugbah Exonerates David Mark, Says Akume, Ortom, Others Behind Enyantu Ifenne's Replacement

Ugbah Exonerates David Mark, Says Akume, Ortom, Others Behind Enyantu Ifenne's Replacement

A former guber aspirant in Benue State, Prof. Steve Torkuma Ugbah has opened up on those who made his nomination as a non-career ambassador possible.

Ugbah, a former adviser to ex-governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger was nominated in a new list released by the federal government, which saw him replacing Dr. Enyantu Ifenne who was earlier nominated in the same category.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain identified Senators George Akume, Barnabas Gemade, Governor Samuel Ortom, elder statesman, Wantaregh Paul Unongo  and others as those who worked tirelessly to make sure he replaced Ifenne as a nominee from Benue.

This has thus settled the debate that Senator David Mark was behind the removal of Ifenne's name from the controversial list recently released.

In a statement released during the weekend, Ugbah profusely thanked those who made his nomination possible during the undercurrent battle.

“Please join me in expressing sincere appreciation to Wantaregh Paul Unongo, our father; HE Governor Samuel Ortom; HE Senator George Akume; Senator Barnabas Gemade; Senator JKN Waku; and Chief Felix Akiga; among a whole host of others, for working tirelessly to ensure that this opportunity was provided to us" he confessed.

While reacting to the controversy trailing his nomination as non-career ambassador, the renowned educationist said, "I know that some of you have received this news with mixed feelings. While some of you are happy, believing that we have earned this honor, others feel a bit disappointed because you expected another type of appointment. I understand" he added.

There Is Satanic Agenda To Eliminate Christianity From Nigeria – Paul Enenche

There Is Satanic Agenda To Eliminate Christianity From Nigeria – Paul Enenche

The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche has stated that there is currently a satanic agenda to eliminate Christianity from the country.

According to him, some people he tagged as ‘anti-gospel soldiers’ have set out to preclude the gospel from being preached across the nation, especially in the northern region.

Speaking on Sunday, January 15, 2017 during a live service monitored by NAOMIDEDIVA.COM on Dunamis TV, the fiery preacher said any man who is on the mission of eliminating the gospel from the country would cease to exist.

“There is a satanic agenda to eliminate the gospel from being preached across the country. This crusade is gaining popularity in northern part of the country. I stand today to declare that anybody waging war against the gospel from being preached will cease to exist. From Benue, Kaduna, Anambra, Akwa Ibom or any part of this country or beyond, I declare that they would cease to exist from today,” he declared.

Excitement Over Discovery Of Oil In Benue Community

Excitement Over Discovery Of Oil In Benue Community

Idoma community of Benue State was thrown into palpable excitement over the weekend following the confirmation of oil discovery in the community by experts.

NAOMIDEDIVA.COM gathered that some oil experts had earlier during the weekend visited Apa Local Government Area of the community to confirm the reported discovery of crude oil in the area.

Chief Hon. Solomon Oche Danjuma, the sole administrator of Apa Local Government Council received experts from Abuja to ascertain the quantity of oil deposits at the site.

After thorough investigation, the engineers discovered that the oil deposits is of commercial quantity but they will still go to Abuja to come back with more experts to open the sealed abandoned oil wells.

A villager identified as Francis Akogwu who worked with the oil company narrated that oil was truly discovered in the place in the 1960s but the whites left because of the civil war that broke out then.

Akogwu said the whites drilled as deep as 14,000ft before they discovered the oil deposits, he also said the whites told them as at that time that the oil deposits is very large and of commercial quantity as it extends to Asaba in Ojantele/Akpete ward, extends to Okpoo in Ikobi Ward and also extends to the large palm trees orchard between Ankpali and Ebugodo in Edikwu Ward II all of Apa Local Government Council.

The villager also gave the name of the oil company as Forex oil drilling company and was able to remember the names of two whites then as Raphael and Rusell while over all man was Mr Tu Pusser who always visited them with helicopter.

On his part, the Sole Administrator of Apa LG thanked the experts for always honouring his invitation and also informed them that he always ready to support and meet their demands to ensure the exploration of oil in Apa LG.

He charged the host community to always guide the site as no one is permitted to visit the site except they receive instruction from the Council.

About a month ago, when oil was first discovered in Benue state, it was not yet known if the discovery would be of commercial quantity, but the deputy governor of the state, Engr Benson Abounu, urged the federal government and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) not to relent.

Based on results of several geological investigations, the government was convinced that the state had oil and that exploration is just what was needed.

Ex-Benue Governor, Gabriel Suswam Allegedly Set To Dump PDP For APC

Ex-Benue Governor, Gabriel Suswam Allegedly Set To Dump PDP For APC

Reports have it that immediate past governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam is set to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Action Democratic Party (ADP).

According to Guardian, sources claim that Suswam who is set to actualize his senatorial ambition in 2019 is said to be negotiating at the moment with APC stalwarts in Benue State to fast track his possible defection.

"We are not sure how the stalemate in the PDP will end up so we do not want to take chances that is why we have begun preparations to have a smooth sail in the forthcoming election,” said a close ally to the ex-governor."

After completing his eight-year tenure as the Governor of Benue State, Suswam in the 2015 election sought to occupy the Benue North East senatorial seat but was beaten by a former national chairman of the PDP, Barnabas Gemade who defected to the APC at the to get a second term.

Confirming the development, the national acting legal adviser of the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the PDP and a former speaker of the State House of Assembly, David Iorhemba revealed that the former governor is bound to leave the party due to the lingering crises that has put it in a disadvantaged position in the forthcoming elections hence, the need to make amends.

He dispelled insinuations of the former governor defecting to the ruling APC, hinting that he may be heading to the Action Democratic Party (ADP).

“We are not sure of what will become of the PDP at the end of the day so we will have to leave but certainly not to APC, we are going to Action Democratic Party ADP,” he stated in an interview with The Guardian in Abuja.

The fact that the relationship between the State governor, Samuel Ortom who is of the APC and his predecessor is not cordial, gives credence to the information that Suswam may not head to APC.

The affinity was strained in the months of intrigues preceding 2015 governorship election; the moment Suswam did not endorse Ortom’s aspiration to succeed him.

Ortom has, out of frustration decamped from PDP and pitched tent with APC, where he eventually emerged the party’s governorship candidate for the election and subsequently became the governor.

The media has been awash with reports of accusation and counter-accusation of fraud leveled against Suswam by the Ortom administration since its inception.

Keen observers of events in the state claimed that Ortom had at most forum accused Suswam of running the state aground financially with mind bugging figures being bandied around by the state governor and his party, as having been misappropriated.

Thus, it has been a cat and mouse relationship between them ever since.

Fulani Killings: What Happened In Agatu About To Resurface In Okpokwu - BENNETWORK Raises Alarm

Fulani Killings: What Happened In Agatu About To Resurface In Okpokwu - BENNETWORK Raises Alarm

The Benue Elite Development Network, BENNETWORK, has condemned the recent attack by Fulani herdsmen on Okpale-Ogege community of Edumoga, Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State.

In a statement signed by Comrade Omaga Daniel‎, the group called on government to wade into the matter so as to avoid a repetition of the infamous Agatu genocide.

Read full statement below:

"On January 3, 2017, while sons and daughters of Okpale-Ogege Community, in Edumoga, Okpokwu  LGA of Benue State went to their farms to resume agricultural activities for 2017 having celebrated the new year in peace, a group of suspected Fulani herdsmen struck, killing many villagers who had gone out to stop them from grazing in their farmlands.

"The attack by the herdsmen indeed threw the peaceful  atmosphere into pandemonium as villagers were forced to flee from their homes for fear of being killed.

"We are shocked that despite the cry over the terroristic act perpetrated by these herdsmen on the entire people of Benue state, the government at the federal and state level has continued to turn a blind eye.

"We are worried that this renewed attack on Okpokwu Local Government, one of the earliest local governments in Idoma land is another calculated attempt by the herdsmen to replicate the Agatu Massacre in Okpale-Ogege and must be checked.

"We condemn this renewed attack on our people and we caution against any act of negligence by the government which might result to the people taking laws into their own hands to protect their community and the entire state should they continue to look the other way.

This attacks if not abated in 2017 may lead to crises, which will affect the peace, stability and the socioeconomic development  of the entire state and Nigeria in general.

"We call on the federal government and Benue state government to sit up to their responsibility and nip to bud this monster that is raising it's head again in 2017. It is the responsibility of the government to protect the lives and properties of her citizens and the people of Benue state must enjoy this privilege.

"We urge the people of Benue state to be vigilant at all times.‎"
It could be recalled that Fulani herdsmen on January 3, 2017 allegedly carried out an attack on Okpale-Ogege, community of  Edumoga, Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State; killing five and injuring several others.

Recession: Desperate Woman Exchanges 4-Year-Old Son For A Bag Of Rice In Benue

Not actual picture
Wonder they say shall never end, this popular cliché vividly captures the story of a middle-aged woman who reportedly exchanged her 4-year-old son for a bag of rice in Otukpo area of Benue State.

Though it sounds like a scene straight from a Nollywood epic flick, but it is true, albeit, startling.

Residents of Zone HB in Otukpo area of the state were recently stunned when a woman decided to do away with her biological son in exchange for a bag of rice.

According to an eyewitness, a popular politician in the area had invited widows and less-privileged in the community for empowerment. Among the items distributed to the beneficiaries were vegetable oil, soft drinks, bags of salt, bags of rice and several other goodies.

NOW TRENDING: Fulani Killings: What Happened In Agatu About To Resurface In Okpokwu - BENNETWORK Raises Alarm
The woman, whose identity was given as Grace Agbo was said to have arrived the venue when the benefactor had finished sharing the gifts to other women.

The source said the woman, who arrived the venue in company of her barely four-year-old son was visibly disappointed when she was told there were no more gifts on ground.

In what could be described as the highest level of desperation, the woman unstrapped her child and dumped him in front of the politician, pleading that she doesn’t mind if he could go away with the son and give her a bag of rice.

Stunned by her unusual request, the politician sought to know why she wanted to exchange her child for food; the woman said she had seven children for her husband who is jobless.

According to her, since the man was sacked from the defunct NEPA, he has not done anything.

“I no longer have money to feed them. Take him and go so I can get even a bag of rice for my other six children. All my husband does is to sit at home and do nothing, he only knows how to make babies. I am tired. Please take him and give me the rice. I know that you will take care of him.” She said amid tears.

The politician who was touched by the woman’s request gave the woman N50,000 and asked her to go home with the child. He also promised to visit the family from time to time.

I Was Not Only Elected To Pay Salaries - Ortom Tells Benue Workers

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Tuesday said that he was not elected to pay only workers’ salaries to the detriment of other sectors of the state’s economy.

Ortom made the remark when he played host to the Chairman of Northern Governors Forum (NGF) and Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima and the governors of Bauchi and Kano states at the Government House in Makurdi.

“I’m not elected to come and pay only salaries which I can’t even pay as a result of the huge wage bill of the state. I can’t continue like this because I made four electoral promises that must be kept,” he said.

The governor lamented that the state wage bill which stands at over N7 billion monthly was worrisome when compared to Kano State’s N4 billion monthly despite Kano’s large population of 44 local government areas as against Benue with less population in 23 LGAs.

He said the development had continued to constitute problem for his administration which after paying the meagre average sum of N3 billion received from the federation account monthly is usually left with a shortfall of over N4 billion.

Ortom therefore posited that in the next few weeks he would hold a meeting with all stakeholders in the state to extensively deliberate on the matter and find ways to move forward.

Fulani Herdsmen Attack: 5 Killed, Several Others Injured In Okpokwu LGA Of Benue

Following renewed attacks from Fulani herdsmen in Benue State, 5 farmers have been reported killed, with several others injured.

MUST READ: Is Masturbation A Sin?

MUST READ: Is Masturbation A Sin?

****Read to the end or read the last paragraph

On-air personality Freeze has been very close to his followers in the past couple of weeks, often dishing out advice on life, religion, love and finances.

Recently a young man asked for Freeze’s thoughts on masturbation and if it is a sin…here’s what Freeze shared:

''This is one of the most difficult questions anyone has ever asked me. From the way the letter is constructed, you can see that the young man is not only intelligent and well educated, but he is also polite which indicates that his parents brought him up well. From his tone, I can see this is a genuine question that is bothering not only him, but a multitude of other people, young and old, irrespective of their religious inclination.

''The religious righteousness in me wanted to tell him that masturbation is a sin and must never be engaged in, but where does that leave the 46 year old widow, who confided in me last year, that she had to buy a sex toy because her husband died, leaving her with 6 children and no man wanted to marry her, and instead of jumping from one man to the other, she decided to please herself?
Or an unmarried man at 35, when I know it’s unhealthy, according to empirical research, not to empty your prostate regularly, as it predisposes men to prostate cancer later in life?''Marc Garnick, M.D., Editor in Chief of Harvard Medical School’s Annual Report on Prostate Diseases, says: “Two relatively large studies of this question, reported in 2003 and 2004, yielded good news for sexually active men: high ejaculation frequency seemed to protect against prostate cancer.”

''Ejaculations included sexual intercourse, nocturnal emissions/masturbation. According to the study available at The scientists found that men who ejaculated 21 or more times a month enjoyed a 33% lower risk of prostate cancer compared with men who reported four to seven ejaculations a month.”''Now, before that righteous Yahoo Boy, who you intend to give your January salary to, jumps up and starts calling masturbation a sin, let’s remember that Isaac married Rebecca when she was only 3 years old, according to research done by scholars, and the average marriage age for boys in biblical times, was around 13. Furthermore, David had several wives and concubines, Solomon had 1000, Abraham 2 wives several concubines, Jacob 2 wives and their housegirls, so emptying the prostate wasn’t such a problem back then. And since in the times of Moses, Jacob, David and Solomon there was no DSTV and electricity, most people tended to entertain themselves in the other room.

''However with the peculiarities obtainable in today’s society, a 13 year old boy is still in secondary school and won’t be eligible for marriage for another 12 years at least. I know people who are in their forties and single and I am sorry but I can’t preach abstinence to them… And even if I try to, would they listen?

''When the choice of having several sex partners presents itself against masturbation, I won’t pick several partners, instead I will preach that masturbation, like alcohol, is extremely addictive and has its own side effects, so extreme caution should be exercised  when the overcoming urge to relieve oneself from sexual ‘congi’ comes knocking on your door.

''If you feel guilty about masturbation, which is normal, pray about it. God understands those feeling, because he put them in you in the first place.

''Also remember, your body is the temple of Christ, so you must protect it! You won’t want to open it up for different sexual spirits or for prostate cancer.

''I sincerely hope I answered his question well… ~FRZ.''

**********Well, that was his opinion...

For Christians, a major biblical principle that can be applied to the issue of masturbation can be drawn from Ephesians 5:3 "Among you, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity.''

If sins of lust, immoral thoughts and pornography are overcome, masturbation will become a non-issue.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, yesterday urged the people of the state to give thanks to God in appreciation for His positive intervention in the affairs of the state.

Ortom spoke at the IBB Square, Makurdi, during an interdenominational night of praise put together by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in collaboration with the state government.

He said his decision to dedicate the state to God had already yielded results as kidnapping, assassination and the farmersherders’ crisis as well as other criminal activities, had been reduced in the state.

The governor assured the people that he would not be distracted from steering the affairs of the state with the fear of God as he was working hard to guarantee security of lives and property.

He commended CAN for forging unity among churches irrespective of the diverse doctrines, saying with such togetherness, a lot would be achieved in God’s work.

Governor Ortom advised the people not to be idle, but to engage in meaningful ventures in line with the teachings of the Bible, which said he who does not work, should not eat.

He urged the citizens to make efforts through cooperative societies and other platforms to access the N3 billion warehoused in the Bank of Industry (BoI) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and made available for those willing to invest in the agricultural value chain.x
PDP Group Stages Protest To Demand Re-opening Of Party’s National Secretariat

PDP Group Stages Protest To Demand Re-opening Of Party’s National Secretariat

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Staff Welfare Forum has demanded the immediate and unconditional re-opening of the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja by the Police.

The employees made the demand during a peaceful protest in front of the national secretariat, where Secretary of the Forum, Dan Ochubaiye, said the appeal became necessary in order to enable the party to discharge its responsibilities.

Ochubaiye expressed concern over the delay in resolving the party’s lingering leadership crisis as he declared the employees’ loyalty to the Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee.

A senior staff of the party, Samson Imafidon, who added a voice to the call, said the demand was informed by the need to start work in the New Year and put an end to idleness.

It could be recalled the PDP national secretariat has been under locks and keys locked-up for nearly eight months following the lingering leadership crisis between two factions.

WORD FOR TODAY: Assurance of His Love

WORD FOR TODAY: Assurance of His Love

By Billy Graham

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? — Psalm 27:1

Today many people are living in the bondage of fear. In a recent study a psychiatrist said that the greatest problem facing his patients was fear. Fear of going insane, committing suicide, being alone, or fear of heart disease, cancer, disaster, or death. We are becoming a nation of fearful people. Down through the centuries in times of trouble, temptation, trial, bereavement, and crisis, God has brought courage to the hearts of those who love Him.

The Bible is crowded with assurances of God’s help and comfort in every kind of trouble which might cause fears to arise in the human heart. Today the Christian can come to the Scriptures with full assurance that God is going to deliver the person who puts his trust and confidence in God. Christians can look into the future with promise, hope, and joy, and without fear, discouragement, or despondency.

Prayer for the day:

Your assurances of love still the fears of my heart, Lord.

Written by Billy Graham, Founder of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association(BGEA). BGEA exists to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by every effective means and to equip the church and others to do the same.

FG Commences N5,000 Monthly Payment To One Million Poor Nigerians

FG Commences N5,000 Monthly Payment To One Million Poor Nigerians

The Federal Government has commenced the payment of N5,000 monthly to one million vulnerable Nigerians.

In a statement released, Monday, by Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Vice president Yemi Osinbajo, the government stated that the payment was effected through the Conditional Cash Transfer, CCT, of the government’s Social Investment Programmes, SIP.

According to the statement, one million Nigerians would receive N5,000 monthly payments under the CCT as a form of social safety net for the poorest and most vulnerable as budgeted for in the 2016 Budget.

Mr. Akande added that many of the beneficiaries have already reported receiving their first payments in the first batch that commenced last week.

“In the first batch that commenced last week, nine states would be covered, and many of the beneficiaries have already reported receiving their first payments by Friday last week, December 30, 2016.

“Funds for the commencement of the payments in four states were released last week to the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) – the platform that hosts and validates payments for all government’s social intervention programmes. Funds for another set of five states to complete the first batch of nine states would follow soon.”

The statement listed Borno, Kwara, Bauchi, Cross Rivers, Niger, Kogi, Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti states as states in the first batch to commence the CCT statement. It however said that the states were selected because they had a social register that identified the vulnerable and poorest Nigerians.

“Though the sequence for the payment of the money would be operationally managed by NIBSS, beneficiaries in Borno, Kwara and Bauchi States have started receiving the money. The other states in the first batch to commence the CCT payments are Cross Rivers, Niger, Kogi, Oyo, Ogun & Ekiti States,” Mr. Akande said.

“The nine pilot states were chosen because they have an existing Social Register that successfully identified the most vulnerable and poorest Nigerians through a tried and tested community based targeting (CBT) method working with the World Bank. However other states have already begun developing their Social Registers and would be included in subsequent phases of the CCT implementation.”

According to the statement, the federal government, with the support of the World Bank, has adopted the CBT for developing the social register in the other states around the country for transparency, objectivity and credibility in the selection of the poorest and vulnerable Nigerians. Hence, the federal government will soon commence community mobilisation for the creation of the register in more states, to expand the scope and reach of the CCT across the country.

Other states listed to have complied with the stipulated framework provided and are set for the community based targeting method for development of social register include Plateau, Jigawa, Adamawa, Anambra, Benue, Enugu, Katsina and Taraba States.

These states, Mr. Akande said, are to be followed by Delta, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Imo and Ogun States. The government also assured that once the information garnered are entered into the social register, cash transfers would be disbursed to beneficiaries.

“Once the community mobilisation, identification and selection processes are completed, the information garnered from the poorest households would be entered onto the Social Register in the
states and the National Register at NIBSS, after which the cash transfers would be disbursed to the beneficiaries.”

The statement also disclosed that funds approved for the SIP are domiciled with the Ministry of Budget and National Planning.

Meanwhile, the federal government said that with the commencement of the CCT, the Buhari administration is now implementing four of the federal government’s SIP.
Mr. Akande said the N-Power Volunteer Corps designed to hire half a million unemployed graduates has now engaged 200,000, and the National Homegrown School Feeding Programme now runs in three states.

He said the Buhari administration has also kicked-off the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme, GEEP.

“Under GEEP, soft loans ranging from N10,000 to 100,000 have been designed for artisans, traders, market women among others. Already, thousands of cooperatives, market women associations, farmers and enterprising youths, have been identified and registered for the purpose, on an ongoing basis, and the disbursement of the soft loans through the Bank of Industry have started since Nov 25, 2016.

“At the last count, for the first phase, beneficiaries have been drawn from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abia, Adamawa, Bauchi, Delta, Imo, Kwara, Kano, Katsina, Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Ogun and Kogi States.”

The statement however said that regarding the GEEP, disbursements were halted and deferred until after the festive season but vetting and approval of beneficiaries are now being continued
Commenting on the 200,000 beneficiaries of the N-power programme, Mr. Akande said about 100,000 graduates have been physically verified, adding that they have started receiving their N30,000 stipends.

“Regarding the 200,000 beneficiaries of the N-Power programme, close to 50 per cent of the graduates, have now been physically verified, and started receiving their monthly stipends of N30,000 last week. A second batch of 300,000 unemployed graduates are expected to be
selected early this year to make up the half a million target set by the Buhari administration.

“The verified graduates are now being deployed to work as assistant teachers in schools, as community health aides and as agricultural extension workers, in more than 20 States of the Federation. These sates include; Abia, Adamawa, Bauchi, Anambra, Benue, Cross Rivers, Borno, Gombe, Edo, Jigawa, Katsina, Plateau, Kogi, Osun, Rivers, Zamfara, Niger, Sokoto, Ogun and Taraba.”

In the same vein, the government said it has also started the implementation of the National Home-grown School Feeding programme designed to feed 5.5 million school children for 200 school days in the first phase of the programme. According to the statement, the initial design was to
feed pupils in 18 States but funding challenges had affected an earlier take-off. It however said that the programme has now commenced in Osun, Kaduna and Anambra States, adding that more states are expected to join this new year.

The federal government reiterated its commitment to touching the lives of millions of vulnerable Nigerians, especially in the new year, in fulfilment of its Change agenda.

“In the new year, it is the plan of the Federal Government to scale up the implementation of the SIP to touch the lives of millions of Nigerians in fulfilment of its promises and in furtherance of its Change agenda,” Mr. Akande said.
2017 Prophecies: Bro Joshua Iginla Drops More Shocking Prophecies For Benue, Other States

2017 Prophecies: Bro Joshua Iginla Drops More Shocking Prophecies For Benue, Other States

72 Shocking 2017 prophecies by Pastor Joshua Iginla

The Set man in charge of Champions Royal Assembly, brother Joshua Iginla has dropped 72 prophetic insights for 2017 for individuals and nations.

Read below:

1 In 2017, I see more pressure on his excellency, Mr president to sack the incubent CBN Governor. It will take divine Grace for him to remain in that office.

2. Senator Saraki. The Senate president should not think that the trials are over. I see more storm and trials that will take a new turn from his enemies and political distractor. They will scheme  for his removal. He should be very careful  because I see much betrayal of promise. They might backstab him. I see promises made in the secret to him that will not be kept. He should pray that the people in his camp should not see the storm overwhelming him, thus leaving him in the storm.

3 The hardsip and poverty in Nigeria will increase. Mr president will do all he can in his power to reshuffle some of his cabinet in order to rescue issues but because his administration has more enemies than friends, they will frustrate all his efforts. However,  I see a light at the end of the tunnel but it will not free us from this hardship. Rather , it will increase, it will be strong but I have good news for you, those who know their God will be exempted.

4 I see a part in this country that the military will move swiftly to rescue because of the crisis that will come out of there. it will be like a tail of crocodile slapping the water. It is between 2018 - 2019 that this crisis will blow but in 2017, we will see a symptom of it splashing  the water. Sensitive crisis from one part of the nation that needs the current administration to be sensitive and pray about it.

5 I see the issue  of flood resuming. I see heavy down pour. I see some of the corruption that has been there over 2 years ago to curb such flood will be exposed because  this will affect a lot of buildings.

******6 Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Benue, Kaduna, Adamawa and Plateau should pray against serious attack like herdsmen, terrorism,  radical extremist and religious attacks which will increase but God will give us Victory.

7. The dollar exchange rate will rise up above 600. It will go up.

8 - His Excellency, Mr President should pray for his health, I see him traveling out for an unscheduled health checkup. But this time, it will be more serious. He should pray for his health, God will keep him.

9 There will be serious attempt to frustrate the Vice President . This attempt will be so strong. There are some cabals  that will want him out of the seat. This attempt would not just be by political measures but an attempt through striking of his life as well. He should pray and be careful but the Lord will keep him.

10 The Churches in Nigeria will go through serious  persecution. Some major ministries will receive serious court judgement that will be unfavourable but God will keep such ministries. There will be strong persecution. Lets Pray to God to keep the church in Nigeria. God spoke to me and said this is the time Nigeria should be ever united as it has been in the history of the country because what is ahead of us, one cannot fight. It will take measures of too many people connecting with heart and  mind to fight.

11 The current government will prevail so much over the issue of Boko Haram but it will not die. Rather, it will take a new dimension. It will worsen but at the tail end between 2017 - 2018, most especially 2018, that's when we will get the victory better on the issue of Boko haram.

13 I see another monster that will be created before the end of this regime meant to distract the incumbent President and his crew. Just as Boko haram was a distraction to the previous Government. I see another distraction that is coming. It will be stronger than what we heard about. That's why we should continue to pray not to continue going from one circle of battle to the other.

13 The agitation of Biafra will take another turn. Pray so that this time it should not be bloody. We should pray for Kanu Nnamdi, the biafra leader, because  I see an health challenge and I see bitterness and agitation from thissame region he is coming from. And I pray the current admistration is very sensitive over the case of Nnamdi Kanu because what I see is not too good. May the Lord keep Nigeria. Will he come out? Yes! How will he come out? I can't really tell. I see it as something divine. I don't see legal issue as a means of removing him from there.

14 I keep repeating this prophecy for the past three years and I'm still repeating it. There is a great man of God whose candle light has finished. There's nothing we can do about it. This is an home calling to glory and I keep saying this. God said I should re-echo it. This is an important but sensitive minister in the body of Christ.  His candle light has gone down but is living by Extra grace. I still see this same prophecy in 2017. I pray God will show mercy and grace on him.

15 We should pray against another terrorist attack in Abuja. God will avert it!

16 A former president and great man should pray to cross this year 2017 to the next year.

17 The clamour for his Excellency, Mr president, to come back in 2019 will be very high. Buhari should be very careful. There's a lot of judases  around him. They are only digging his grave for him unknowingly. He should be very careful.

18 I see a shake in the Government. I see new ministers coming in.

19 The governor of Rivers state will suffer a lot of political persecution but it will not stop what God is about to do.

20 The Lord spoke to me and said what Amaechi was to the ex-president is what Ayo Fayose will become to President Buhari in this regime. The same persecution that Amaechi gave the previous Government is the same persecution Fayose will give Buhari. He should not be underestimated because I see him making a move that may result in revolution.

21 Rivers and  Ekiti state Governors  should be very careful. There will be attempt even over their lives. I don't  know by which party but that's what I saw.

22 I see a governor that will narrowly escape death. God will keep him. Infact, he will have to go to the house of God thanksgiving.

23 APC has served its purpose. In 2017, the party will begin to see major Cracks and before 2019 there's a powerful party that will merge out and will form strong alliance in 2017. It will become solid in 2018. APC has served it's purpose. It's like a piece of paper thrown away after being used. APC has served its purpose. A new party that will take Nigeria to the next level will rise up and I don't know how but I see this party consisting of members of the ruling party and opposition party fusing together causing what I call unwanted diffusion that will lead to a future catastrophe but before it, there is going to be calm on the nerves of Nigerians. Even the new party that will come in is like joining petrol and Kerosine together and mixing it up with water.

24 I'm sorry to say this but it is what I Saw. Nigeria will continue to have old faces ruling this country. They will keep circulating powers among themselves. The faces we will be seeing won't be really new. They will keep changing from one regime to another till 2031.

 25. In 2031, I see a face rising up that will take Nigeria to where we ought to be. He is a true David we should look up to. A strong, vibrant, intelligent leader and a bridge maker. By this time, 3 major political fathers who caused change in this generation would have gone to glory.

26. God said there are some cabals  he's going to call to glory before the true David emerge.

27. I saw a mighty hand sweeping Nigeria. What I saw was a golden fork sweeping but it took time to gather the dirt. It took sometime that is the space of time I saw in my vision

28. In 2035, there will be a strong female politician that will rise. She will become very strong, fearless, confrontational and she will be a running mate. That's a vice president position.

 29. Between 2039 - 2051, Nigeria will have a female President that will turn the country in another dimension.

30. The tension in 2019 will be worse than 2015 election. We must pray against military intervention, please let's pray as it can be averted.

31. We must pray against cancellation of results after election in 2019.

32. I see the seat of an African leader empty because of death.

33. Some politicians are agitating to rule forever. As long as they are on the seat, there's nothing anyone can do about it. Hear what God said about them. He said ' Is it not the living that will rule? The dead body can't rule.

34. I see thick dark cloud over sokoto.  Please pray for sokoto state in 2017.

35. Pray for the aviation industry. I saw thick dark cloud on one of the airlines. I pray and I cancel such aircraft crash in Jesus name.

 36. There will be some cabal in the ruling party that will move the motion to remove the National chairman of the ruling party. They will pass vote of no confidence against him. They will cry and criticise him more. It will be very strong just as it happened in PDP , It will happen in APC. I see the seat of the national ruling party leader shaking before the next election.

 37. Buhari will do his best to move Nigeria forward but all his best will be thwarted by the enemies of Nigeria. It is not about Buhari, it is about some cabals who are enemies of Nigeria. Though we have angels sitting at the helms of affairs, if this cabal don't die, Nigeria will remain in a cage.

38. There will be mass loss of Job most especially in the banking industry. There will be lot of retrenchment.

39. The budget of 2017 will suffer a lot of strong set back in terms of implementation. It is like the spirit will be willing but the flesh will be weak

40 I see a particular deputy governor taking over from a governor. I can't tell the circumstances that led to this, we should pray.

41 I see a strong terrorist attack in form of chemical weapon against a country in Europe and especially the attack will be carried out on a school. I see children dying helplessly. I pray God will deliver and avert it in Jesus name.

42. There will be strong assassination attack against the pope but God will deliver him. The pope will try to bring peace between so many nations that lack peace and he will make major achievements mostly in his peace agenda.

43 America : I see the new president approaching the helm  of affair with radical apporach. The American-China relationship will go sour. It will go bitter, cold and that will so much affect a lot of things in some areas in America. So many dirty deals of the past regime will be exposed by the current regime.

44. There will be attempt to attack the incoming president of America but God will preserve him.

45 I see some American political elite that will maintain political division and this will affect the performance of the new president. They will not share some of his views and as a result of that, the division will be so strong that it will be evident.

46. The conflict between the USA and China will erupt and it will slow the wheel of progress for both Nations.

47. There will be an alliance between the USA and Russia and the discussion which will not go down with some political elite and that's why I said it will slow the wheel of Progress

48. The new style of the new American president will weaken the attack of terrorist in some other parts of the world. It will be so strong and the signal will be so strong and there will be major breakththrough than the Obama's regime

INDIA : 49. I see a serious escalating conflict between China and India over the nothern border of Kashmir.

50. There will be a great revival in the Nation of India and 6 major prophets will rise up in India that will cause major changes in terms of Christian revival in the nation of India. Christianity in India will soon be a wide fire catching all over and it will be accepted and move forward than ever before.

51. I see the government of India having a strong alliance with 3 powerful Nations in 2017. I see it so very strong.

52. I see a train accident that will be averted but some people will still die. The hazard will not be as intended by the enemies.

53. The political environment in India will be tensed and  I see the ruling party holding to power.

CHINA : 54. The economy will be very strong, viable, and it will  overtake others economically .

55 China will become a strong threat to world powers  mostly of the number one one world powers.

56. Between 2018 and 2021, China will be at the top of the chart because of what God showed me.

 57. There are some super powers we have now that are very strong but will lose the position. Its not as a result of failure but because there's a shift taking place in th realm of the spirit.

58. China should pray against plane crash. I avert it in Jesus Name.

GHANA : 59. Alot of past leaders will go to Jail and the new president will be celebrated for just 6 months and after that he will become unpopular.

60. Ghana will soon experience  the same challenge like Nigeria. What is happening in Nigeria will be duplicated in Ghana. The new president will do well but his enemies will be more than his intention. I pray for God's speedy intervention.

FRANCE : 61.  There will be relative peace from the first quarter  of the year but I still see a co-ordinated attack that will still come inside the Nation's capital. I cancel it now!

62. In france the election will be tough and strong because of some internal rancour. They should pray to sustain their position, because  I see the opposition party pushing the ruling party from the helm of affair.

GAMBIA : 63. There will be strong revolution that will take place. I see strong military intervention . God says they should pray against bloodshed.

64 There will be a lot of political dramas. It will cause  lot of lives. It will be one that has never be seen. It will become news everywhere.

ZAMBIA : 65. The economy will still be struggling to pickup. The president will do all his best to drag it up and I see it having a steady balance in 2018.

66 : One of the serving ministers should pray to cross to 2018 because I see an attack over his life. God will preserve you in Jesus name.

67. A lot of people from the opposition party will form alliance and collapse themselve into the ruling party and will try to give the incumbent President support.

68. The president should pray over his health. It will be a major challenge througout his regime but God will still keep him. There's is no grace for him to come back after this regime because I see lot of judas and funny people that will advise him to return back. He shouldn't adhere because there is no grace. Have said it before, Zambia president please watch.

CAMEROUN : 69. The government should watch over the border because  I see the influx of boko haram entering into the country. They should pray  so that Cameroun should not be at the receiving end of what we are chasing from Nigeria.
